For this assignment, I was to design a weapon, either melee or ranged, which was based on a music instrument. The weapon had to be a hand-held weapon, and we were to focus on full value range.
I designed this scythe-inspired weapon based on the ennanga, a type of arched harp played by the Ganda people of Uganda. My idea came mainly from the arched shape of the instrument, but later added the strings to draw a more clear parallel.
Disclaimer: Everything in this design is freehanded by me, except for the dragonhead, for which I used an image as a background reference.
